PITTSBURGH (AP) - Fire investigators in western Pennsylvania are trying to find out what started a blaze that claimed the life of a woman in Pittsburgh.

Fire crews and paramedics were called to the North Point Breeze area of the city shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday.

Public safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler said firefighters were able to get a female resident out, and she was taken to West Penn Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at about 3:40 p.m. Saturday.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as 57-year-old Kimberly Johnson. Officials said the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
