NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Officials say the New Castle County public safety building has been evacuated after abnormal but low levels of carbon monoxide were discovered as a result of a strange odor in the building.

Officials say the building was evacuated around 10 a.m. Saturday. The incident is not considered suspicious and was being investigated as a building maintenance issue. Officials were working to correct the problem.

Though the building has been evacuated, 911 and non-emergency communications are still working.
