SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 17-year-old boy has died after being stabbed in a park in Sleepy Hollow.

The Journal News says (https://lohud.us/1FY8HTZ) it happened around 11 p.m. Friday.

Emergency crews found the teen suffering from a stab wound at Barnhart Park.

He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not immediately released.

Police said Saturday that a suspect had been taken into custody. Charges were pending.



The Tarrytown School District said Saturday’s homecoming football game has been postponed because of the stabbing.

It said grief counselors would be at Sleepy Hollow High School on Sunday and Monday.
