WEST JORDAN, Utah (AP) - A West Jordan city councilwoman says she believes a fellow council member deliberately publicized her allegations of sexual discrimination against the city’s mayor.

Sophie Rice told the Deseret News (https://bit.ly/1P6vFuF) on Friday that Councilman Jeff Haaga sent an email this week to the city’s 500 employees that contained a four-page document with her allegations against Mayor Kim Rolfe.

Haaga followed up with another email saying the prior one should be disregarded.

However, Rice says she does not think it was accidental and fears retaliation.

Rice sent complaints to the police chief and the city’s human resources department in April.

She alleged Rolfe asks her sexist questions and contributes to a hostile work environment.

Rolfe says the complaint is “factually inaccurate” and not true in any way, shape or form.
