MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis police say one of three people dashing across Hennepin Avenue was struck and seriously injured by a taxi cab.

Police say they are looking at “several contributing factors” that led to the collision in front of the downtown Brave New Workshop comedy theater shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday.

The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/1VMlVVi ) reports the male victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in critical condition.

Police say the three people ran across the busy street mid-block. Two made it across, but one was hit by a cab.

Authorities have interviewed several witnesses.
