BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota’s Transportation Department says time is running out to remove hay bales from highway rights of way.

The deadline is Sunday, Nov. 1. After that, any remaining bales will be removed by the state.

Officials say the bales need to be removed for snow management and safety reasons.
