SALEM, N.H. (AP) - Police say a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after colliding with a sport utility vehicle in southeastern New Hampshire.

Police say the 50-year-old man who was driving a motorcycle collided with a 16-year-old boy making a left turn in Salem Sunday afternoon. The man suffered serious leg injuries and internal trauma. He was airlifted to a Boston trauma center.

A 34-year-old woman who was riding on the motorcycle suffered injuries but is expected to survive.

Police say the boy was uninjured.

Police did not immediately identify anyone involved or say where the drivers are from.



The road was shut down for a few hours but has since been reopened.

Authorities are investigating.
