BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders are expected at an energy conference in Bismarck this week.

The ninth annual Great Plains and EmPower ND Energy Conference is scheduled Tuesday at the National Energy Center of Excellence at Bismarck State College.

Speakers and panels will focus on the global oil and gas outlook, renewable energy integration, new technologies, and the statewide and national energy policy.

The conference is hosted by North Dakota’s congressional delegation and governor, BSC, the Great Plains Energy Corridor, KLJ and the state Commerce Department.

The keynote address will be delivered by ConocoPhillips chief economist Marianne Kah, who is known for developing market outlooks for oil and natural gas.
