TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Autopsy reports show that five members of an Oklahoma family were stabbed dozens of times during a July attack in their home and died of multiple, sharp-force injuries.
The state Medical Examiner’s Office released the findings Monday on David, April, Daniel, Christopher and Victoria Bever. Two brothers in the same family, 16-year-old Michael Bever and 18-year-old Robert Bever, are accused of stabbing their parents and siblings to death.
The report noted that father David Bever had at least 28 total wounds to his body; mother April Bever had at least 48 total wounds.
Michael and Robert Bever have been charged with first-degree murder in the deaths and have pleaded not guilty. They are scheduled for preliminary hearing on Jan. 22.
Two family members survived the attack.
