PELHAM, N.H. (AP) - Police say a head-on collision in southeastern New Hampshire has left three injured.

The Pelham Police and Fire departments responded to the crash in Pelham near the Massachusetts state line Sunday afternoon. State Route 38 was shut down but has since reopened.

Police say a Nissan Altima was turning into the parking lot of a convenience store when it was struck by a Hyundai sedan.

Police say the 34-year-old driver of the Nissan was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries and was ultimately airlifted to Boston.

A 69-year-old woman driving the Hyundai and her 20-year-old granddaughter were taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua with serious injuries. Police say a 1-year-old child who was in the car was unharmed.

None of their identities have been released.

The cause remains under investigation
