CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Federal Bureau of Investigation officials are again talking about violence in churches and other houses of worship during a presentation that follows the shootings at a church in Charleston.

The FBI says Special Agent in Charge David A. Thomas is in Charleston on Tuesday evening for a symposium at the Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul.

Since the shootings of nine parishioners at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in June, FBI officials have visited churches around the state, talking about what steps to take when facing violence.

Gatherings are planned for other cities including Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Rock Hill.
