LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Lafayette police say they have an arrest warrant for 55-year-old Joseph Paul Lilly of Lafayette in the death of 65-year-old Paul Robertson Jr.

Cpl. Paul Mouton says Robertson’s body was found Friday in the doorway of a home on Kelly Drive. He had been shot.

Mouton said in a news release Sunday that an arrest warrant accused Lilly of first-degree murder. It described him as bald and known to ride a bicycle with long, high handlebars.

A call for comment to a phone listed for Joseph Lilly in Lafayette was not answered Sunday.

Someone convicted of first-degree murder can be sentenced to death or to life in prison.
