BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A Montana man convicted of hiding a camera in his ex-girlfriend’s shower has been sentenced to five years in prison.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1LFjwGj ) that 42-year-old Terrill Frank Stoltz said during the trial that he installed the camera to watch over sick chickens and forgot to remove it when he was done.

Deputy Yellowstone County Attorney Paul Chaon called the explanation “ridiculous.”

Before being sentenced, Stoltz said he used methamphetamine and had a lapse in judgment. But he did not explicitly admit to stalking and using the hidden camera.

District Judge Jane Knisely says Stoltz’ chicken explanation shows “zero accountability.”
