WOODBURY, N.J. (AP) - Officials say a southern New Jersey man charged with crashing into a police car last year will face trial.

Police say 46-year-old Scott Allen was trying to elude law enforcement when he collided with a Pennsylvania State Police car in Gloucester County in October 2014.

NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/1G9wCj4 ) the Monroeville man is facing charges of aggravated assault, criminal mischief and other offenses. He has had nine previous felony convictions.

It’s not known if Allen has a lawyer who can comment on the charges because courts were closed for Columbus Day.
