OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) - Emergency officials say human remains have been discovered in a wooded area in Baltimore County.

Baltimore County police and fire officials say the remains were found Sunday morning by people walking in Owings Mills. The remains were described as a human skull and other bones. Officials were not immediately sure whether the other bones were human or not.

Baltimore County homicide detectives are investigating the discovery. The bones were taken to the medical examiner’s office for identification.
