THORNTON, N.H. (AP) - A Lincoln woman has been charged with driving while intoxicated after state police say she slammed into a patrol car.

State police received a report Sunday afternoon of an SUV traveling southbound on Interstate 93 in the town of Thornton weaving in and out of traffic.

A short time later, authorities say Katherine Dangelo hit a state police patrol car and went off the road. Sgt. Victor Muzzey had stopped another vehicle and was sitting in his patrol car at the time of the crash.

Both Muzzey and Dangelo were treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

State police say Dangelo was under the influence of controlled medication. She was later released on bail pending an arraignment.
