SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) - Rush-hour drivers heading East on the Thruway near Schenectady may see some minor to moderate delays this week.

The Thruway Authority has announced the closure of the eastbound right lane on I-90 between Exit 26 at Schenectady and Exit 27 at Amsterdam.

The lane closure is necessary for the completion of an underground drainage culvert replacement project.

The lane closure begins at 6 a.m. Tuesday and remains in effect through Friday 6 p.m.

Electronic message signs will be activated to alert motorists of the change in lane configuration.
