DALLAS (AP) - Dallas police say an 18-year-old who had recently graduated from high school was found slain in her crashed minivan.

Police say the body of Zoe Hastings was found Monday morning in the vehicle, which had crashed into a creek. Police say Hastings had left her family’s house in the minivan late Sunday afternoon to attend a class at her church. When she didn’t show up at church, her family reported her missing.

Police say have only said her death was the result of “obvious homicidal violence.”

Hastings is a 2015 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
