DEMOPOLIS, Ala. (AP) - A former worker at a west Alabama hospital is facing an additional charge of sexually abusing a patient.

Demopolis police say 51-year-old Leland Bert Taylor Jr. is being charged with another count of first-degree sexual abuse.

The former radiology technician at Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital was previously charged with sodomy and sexual abuse.

Police allege Taylor committed sexual acts on patients at least twice during the three years he worked at the hospital, which is located in Demopolis.

Taylor is being held in the Marengo County jail with bond set at $100,000.

Court records aren’t yet available to show whether Taylor has a lawyer who could speak on his behalf.
