WINDHAM, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire State Police say a truck driver fell asleep, struck a guardrail and collided with a car on Interstate 93 north in Windham, shutting down the highway for three hours.

Police said the white box truck driven by 29-year-old Joseph Vachereau of Manchester overturned near the weigh station at about 5:20 a.m. Tuesday. A large amount of diesel fuel spilled onto the highway.

The car driver, 59-year-old Carmine Macri, and 57-year-old Annmarie Macri, both of Manchester, were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Vachereau was not hurt.

Traffic was heading north again at about 8:10 a.m.

Authorities said traffic was detoured along Exit 3 while crews worked to remove the vehicles from the highway.
