BOSTON (AP) - Authorities say law enforcement officials are trying to identify a middle-aged man whose body was pulled from a Boston river.

State Police troopers recovered the body Monday afternoon from the Charles River near the Boston University Sailing Pavilion.

The Suffolk District Attorney’s office says the man appeared to be in his 40s. He did not have any identifying information when he was discovered.

A preliminary examination of the body did not reveal an obvious cause of death.
