PAGE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of man found unconscious in his vehicle parked outside a lodge in Page.

National Park Service officials at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area received a report Sunday night of an unresponsive male outside the Wahweap Lodge at Lake Powell.

The 56-year-old man from Shonto was located by co-workers from the Rainbow Room Restaurant outside of the main lodge entrance after they recognized his vehicle.

They were worried that he would be late for work and tried to get his attention, then realized he was unconscious.

The man was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

His name hasn’t been released yet.

Coconino County Sheriff’s officials said Tuesday that there are no indications of foul play.
