LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A homeless man accused in the fatal beating of another homeless man in Little Rock has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1OyPfhJ ) reports that 46-year-old Eric Leon Green pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Monday. Prosecutors say Green and another man beat 39-year-old Marcus Tidwell to death in October 2014 because they thought the victim had stolen something from their camp.

Police found Tidwell on the ground and covered in blood. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Authorities say witnesses pointed out Green and he was arrested after being questioned.
