PELLA, Iowa (AP) - Window manufacturer Pella Corp. has announced that its chief executive officer is stepping down.

The Pella, Iowa-based Pella announced Monday that Pat Meyer would be temporarily replaced by board chairman Adam Farver as the search for a permanent CEO begins.

Meyer worked for Pella for 25 years and was named CEO in 2009. Pella spokeswoman Heidi Farmer told The Des Moines Register (https://dmreg.co/1LHUGpn ) that the board and Meyer decided new leadership was in the best interest of the company. She did not elaborate.

Farver says in a news release that Meyer’s leadership and integrity “contributed greatly to our company, team members and community.”

Meyer says in the same release that he is grateful for the experience and “proud of what we accomplished as a team.”
