CLEVELAND (AP) - Police have arrested a 31-year-old Cleveland man after he allegedly injured his friend by shattering a glass bong over his head.

University Heights Lt. Dale Orians tells Northeast Ohio Media Group (https://bit.ly/1LhWRk9 ) that Vincent Morris was charged with felonious assault and aggravated menacing after he attacked his friend and threatened two women with a pocketknife on Saturday.

Police say Morris, reportedly high on marijuana laced with PCP at the time of the assault, told officers his “drug-induced paranoia” was to blame.

Police say Morris was playing video games and smoking marijuana with the 20-year-old University Heights man before he hit him with the bong.

The victim, rendered unconscious, was treated for injuries to his head, torso arm and hand.

Information on Morris’ upcoming court appearance wasn’t immediately available.
