WALLINGFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police are investigating the robbery of more than 1,000 oxycodone pills from a Wallingford pharmacy.

Police say a man entered the CVS on North Colony Road at about 8 p.m. Monday and handed the pharmacist a note demanding the prescription painkillers and warning that he had a gun he would use to “shoot up” the store. No gun was shown and no one was injured.

After being given the pills, police say he ran from the store toward a nearby Dunkin’ Donuts where police think he got into a car driven by an accomplice.

The suspect is described by police as a Hispanic male with a beard, who was wearing a black hooded jacket and sunglasses.
