LEHI, Utah (AP) - Authorities say a woman is recovering from injuries she suffered after crashing her paraglider about 30 feet to the ground near Point of the Mountain Flight Park in Lehi.

Paramedic crews had responded to the scene Monday morning after reports that a woman in her 60s had collided with the hillside. The woman suffered back pain and hip pain along her left side. She was taken to a hospital in poor condition, but her injuries are not life threatening.

Tim Robinson, with the Lehi Fire Department, says the woman was an experienced paraglider, but these kinds of accidents can happen to anyone.

It is unclear what caused the parachute malfunction.
