NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) - Massachusetts State Police have identified a 66-year-old New Bedford man who was killed in a single vehicle rollover crash on state Route 140.

A state police spokesman says Lazaro Rosa was driving the sport utility vehicle Tuesday morning and was the sole occupant. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Rosa lost control of the 2010 Honda CRV he was driving, drove over the grass at the end of a ramp and crossed over Phillips Road. The vehicle continued over the on-ramp to Route 140 southbound before coming to rest.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, though a preliminary investigation revealed that Rosa may have suffered a medical incident prior to the crash.
