WINTER PARK, Fla. (AP) - Officials say an off-duty deputy left his gun in the bathroom of a central Florida movie theater.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that the undercover deputy lost his gun earlier this week. The Orlando Sentinel (https://goo.gl/AyQ63Q ) reports that another patron at the Regal Cinemas in Winter Park later found the small .45-caliber pistol on a toilet paper dispenser.

The gun was turned over to Winter Park police. It was the deputy’s personal gun, not his duty weapon.

Sheriff’s office officials say they’re reviewing the incident to determine if any agency policies were violated. They weren’t naming the deputy because of his undercover assignment.
