NEW YORK (AP) - A 26-year-old man was arrested in a shooting outside a New York City nightclub that killed a woman and wounded two others, police said Tuesday.

Dalone Jamison, of the Bronx, faces murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon charges. It wasn’t clear if he had a lawyer, but the handcuffed Jamison told reporters outside a police station Tuesday night he didn’t fire the bullet that killed the woman.

Jamison had been thrown out of Motivo, in Manhattan’s Flatiron District early Monday after arguing with another patron, according to police. They said he told bouncers he’d come back with a gun, and he did, firing into a crowd outside.

Walikque Faussett, 24, died after being shot in the back. Two other victims - a 30-year-old woman who was shot in the shoulder and a 25-year-old woman who was hit in the hip and foot - were hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

Investigators don’t believe the women were targeted in the gunfire around closing time outside Motivo, an 8,000-square-foot, two-level dance club.

The club is in a trendy area where a nightlife scene has sprouted amid office buildings and pricey apartments. Motivo generally is open Fridays and Saturdays, but it was open to the public for a special party Sunday night, according to its website.

This story has been corrected to show that the suspect’s name is Dalone Jamison, not Jamison Dalone.
