BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (AP) - Nestle Health Science plans to open a research and development facility in central New Jersey.

The Swiss-based company has announced it plans to move into the Center of Excellence complex in Bridgewater. The complex once served as a research center for the drug company, Sanofi US.

Nestle Health Science plans to convert the building into a product technology center for the development of nutritional health management therapies.

The Courier News of Bridgewater (https://mycj.co/1VSaFH8 ) reports Nestle Health Sciences vice president Anders Kaspersson says the center offers facilities and a talent pool that are on par with any of the other locations the company considered.

The move is expected to be finished in 18 months.

There was no word on the terms of the deal.
