BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - A woman charged with sexually assaulting a teenager who jumped from a moving car in Bridgeport now says the teen stole from her.

The 17-year-old girl says 38-year-old Towana Randall, of New Haven, lured her into a car while she was on her way to school and sexually assaulted her.

Court documents show Randall told police two or three dollars went missing from the center console and that she grabbed the teen’s hair, demanding to know where it had gone. The teen then jumped out of the car.

Randall is charged with sexual assault, unlawful restraint and reckless endangerment. A judge set her bond at $125,000 at her arraignment Tuesday in Bridgeport.

A public defender tells WVIT-TV Randall recently graduated from community college.

She’s expected back in court in November.
