GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - A 50-year-old Great Falls woman is charged with shooting her boyfriend in the arm and chest, reportedly after she saw him flirting with another woman.

Terri Lee Willis was arrested early Saturday and made an initial appearance in District Court Monday on two counts of assault with a weapon. She did not enter a plea.

Prosecutors allege Willis pointed a .45 caliber pistol at her boyfriend’s head at a party and questioned him about his behavior, then returned to their residence.

The boyfriend said when he returned to grab his cellphone charger she shot him with a .22 pistol, once in the arm and again in the chest. Investigators say the gun malfunctioned as she tried a third shot. His injuries were not life-threatening.

The Great Falls Tribune reports (https://gftrib.com/1RkKMhX ) Willis’ bail was set at $75,000.
