NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - More than 40 state treasurers will be in Nashville this week to discuss how to improve financial literacy across the country.

The National Association of State Treasurers Annual Conference began Saturday and continues through Wednesday.

State treasurers and public finance experts will discuss how to improve standards of financial literacy; enhance state pension plans and fast track the implementation of the ABLE Act’s new savings plans for individuals with disabilities.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam is expected to speak to attendees on Monday.
