BRADY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A woman whose car was stolen 14 years ago says she always thought it would be found in a cornfield, not a pond.

Jennie White says she’s mad about the loss and believes the Ford Tempo was stolen by someone she knows. “Man, that’s strange,” White says of her car covered with mud and plants.

Two people who were fishing discovered the car last week in a pond in Saginaw County.

White tells The Saginaw News (https://bit.ly/1j5htFz ) that the Tempo was stolen from her driveway in Oakley in 2001, about a mile from where it was finally discovered. It had a dealer license plate.

The key was in the ignition, and a piece of wood was holding the gas pedal against the floor.
