PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The head of a Providence affordable housing agency is leaving for a similar job in Boston.

ONE Neighborhood Builders announced Friday that executive director Frank Shea was appointed CEO of Urban Edge.

Urban Edge is a nonprofit to promote affordable housing and community development in Boston’s Roxbury and Jamaica Plain neighborhoods.

ONE Neighborhood Builders says Shea will leave in late October. He has been executive director since 2000.

The nonprofit organization, formerly known as Olneyville Housing Corp., focuses on creating affordable housing in Providence’s Olneyville and Elmhurt neighborhoods.

A successor to Shea hasn’t been appointed.
