CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - A 33-year-old Marion man has been given 27 months in prison and told to repay more than $187,000 to his former employer’s insurance companies.

Federal prosecutors say Jeremy Murphy was sentenced Thursday. He’d pleaded guilty to wire fraud.

Murphy admitted as part of his plea agreement that while working for Crossroads Mobile Maintenance in Williamsburg, he made fraudulent charges on a company credit card from April 2013 through August 2014.
