NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) - In a story Oct. 1 about a man charged with killing a woman he lived with, The Associated Press misidentified the defendant in one sentence. He is Andre Griffith, not Andrew Carey. Carey is the Middlesex County prosecutor.

A corrected version of the story is below:

Man arrested in Times Square, charged in woman’s murder

Man arrested in Times Square after weeklong search, charged with woman’s murder

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey man has been arrested in New York and charged with killing a woman he lived with.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey said that 37-year-old Andre Griffith was arrested in Times Square early Thursday morning after a weeklong search.

Griffith was charged with the murder of 47-year-old Samantha Ross, whom he shared a home with in South Brunswick, New Jersey.

Griffith was being held in New York and will be returned to New Jersey on $1 million bail. It wasn’t immediately known if he had an attorney to comment on the charges against him.

Police came to the house where Ross was found dead on Sept. 24 after her relatives called police, concerned for her welfare.
