ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - A millionaire developer who was sentenced to 30 years in prison for killing his wife is again asking a judge to grant him a new trial.

Orlando ABC-affiliate WFTV (https://bit.ly/1KXLKMd ) reports that attorneys for 67-year-old Bob Ward are set to present arguments to Judge Jenifer Davis on Tuesday that Ward had ineffective representation during his 2011 trial. They have previously submitted a 400-page motion arguing that Ward’s former attorney made mistakes by allowing prosecutors to submit evidence about what he said before and after his wife, Diane, was shot in the bedroom of their mansion in the Orlando suburb of Isleworth in 2009.

Ward was convicted of second-degree murder and had an original appeal denied in 2013. His trial attorney, Kirk Kirkconnell, died of cancer in 2012.
