BEDFORD, Pa. (AP) - A western Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty to setting up a drug deal at which his girlfriend was robbed and killed.
Police say 23-year-old Benjamin Holsinger didn’t realize that Stephanie Waters would be robbed when he set up a marijuana deal with two teens now awaiting trial on charges of robbing and killing her Jan. 8.
The Roaring Spring man pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver drugs on Monday and will be sentenced by a Bedford County judge in December.
But Bedford County District Attorney William Higgins says Waters would still be alive had Holsinger not sent her to the deal instead of going himself.
The teens allegedly robbed and shot Waters, then drove around smoking the pot they stole while she lay dying in the back seat.
