WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Authorities in New Hanover County have made an arrest in a hit-and-run that seriously injured four people earlier this month.

Local media outlets report that 23-year-old Aaron Blake Williams of New Hanover County was arrested on Sunday and charged with felony hit-and-run inflicting serious injury and reckless driving to endanger.

Authorities say more charges could be filed in the Oct. 10th incident. It was not immediately clear if Williams had an attorney.

Four people were seriously injured in the incident that happened at about 2 in the morning. One of the victims lives on the same street as Williams while the others live nearby.

Authorities say Williams called 911 saying he saw the accident. They say he later said that damage to his SUV was caused by hitting a deer.
