CINCINNATI (AP) - The second trial of a suspended juvenile court judge convicted last year of unlawful interest in a public contract is set for next year in southwest Ohio.

A court official said Tuesday that Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Patrick Dinkelacker (Deenk-ul-LAH’-kur) set Jan. 19 for Judge Tracie Hunter’s trial.

A jury last October found Hunter guilty of a charge of unlawful interest in a public contract. She was sentenced to six months in jail but remains free while appealing.

The new trial is on eight charges the first jury couldn’t reach a unanimous verdict on, including tampering with evidence and theft in office, along with one additional count. Hunter has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

She will have a new attorney. Her first-trial attorney withdrew from her case.
