DERIDDER, La. (AP) - A body has been found in a burned-out truck at a residence in the Beauregard Parish community of Sugartown.

Sheriff’s spokesman Joe Toler tells KPLC-TV ( ) the fire was out when authorities arrived Wednesday morning and found the vehicle in a backyard.

Detectives and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating, but Toler says it’s too early to determine whether foul play was involved.

The body is being sent to the Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s Office for an autopsy. The name of the victim has not been released.
