EAST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Police are searching for a driver who they say hit two pedestrians and sped off.

WVIT-TV reports ( ) East Haven police responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m. Sunday finding two pedestrians who had been struck by a vehicle. Both individuals were conscious and alert and were taken to the hospital. Details of their injuries were not available.

Police say witnesses described the vehicle as a silver SUV that should have damage to the front passenger side. It could also be missing the passenger side headlight.
