STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (AP) - Three teenagers are set to make their first court appearance on murder charges in the shooting death of a woman at a gas station near Stone Mountain, east of Atlanta.
Authorities say the suspects - a 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds -are scheduled to appear in DeKalb County Magistrate Court Monday morning.
The charges stem from the fatal shooting 25-year-old Shaneku McCurty.
Police say McCurty had driven to a Chevron station on Redan Road around 1 a.m. Friday and went inside to buy some items. Police say that as she returned to her car, she was attacked by several suspects and shot multiple times when she tried to fight back. She later died at a hospital.
