BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - Harrah’s Gulf Coast will launch a renovation to its hotel tower beginning in November, which will bring more modern furnishings to rooms.

General Manager Jonathan Jones tells The Mississippi Press (https://bit.ly/1RbUSSm) the plush accommodations will serve as a complement to the casino renovations and rebranding effort that took place in May 2014, including new dining amenities and a 10.5-acre outdoor entertainment venue.

Jones says the $14 million renovation is slated for completion by mid-spring and will include the redesign of all 494 hotel rooms, including upgraded bathrooms, new plumbing and lighting fixtures, custom bedding and furniture, textiles and flooring.

All rooms will be equipped with new technology, including 49-inch wall-mounted high-definition televisions.

All over our region we’re seeing revitalization, and the health of our tourism and gaming market continues to be strong,” Jones said.

“These two factors have illustrated an importance to make additional capital investments in our hotel,” he said. “We look forward to building upon the great foundation of amenities we have here at Harrah’s with an additional opportunity to entice more visitors to our resort and region.”

Design features will celebrate Gulf Coast region, with the hallways and hotel rooms displaying artwork and photography that incorporates regional features, including the Biloxi-Ocean Springs Bridge and Biloxi Lighthouse.

The project will also include renovations to the hotel corridors, elevators and hotel lobby.

“At our core, we have a desire to consistently improve,” Jones said. “We’re energized and excited to unveil this newest enhancement to all of our guests, and continue to deliver the best entertainment and hospitality service in the region.”
