Michigan

Last season: 16-16, no postseason.

Nickname: Wolverines. Coach: John Beilein.

Conference: Big Ten.

Key returners: Seniors Caris LeVert and Spike Albrecht and juniors Derrick Walton and Zak Irvin have all been recovering from injuries at some point in the past few months, but the Wolverines could be at full strength soon. While LeVert and Walton missed significant time last season, Aubrey Dawkins and Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman gained valuable experience.

Who left: After losing a handful of stars early to the NBA under Beilein, the Wolverines finally have a team returning almost completely intact. Michigan’s top six scorers from 2014-15 are all back. Max Bielfeldt went to Indiana as a graduate transfer.

The Skinny: If everyone is healthy, the Wolverines could be right back in the mix for the Big Ten title. It’s an experienced, deep team that went through plenty of growing pains last season and is now ready to reap the benefits.
