FAIRFIELD, Ala. (AP) - Police say an arrest has been made in the shooting death of a Miles College student.

Fairfield Police Chief Leon Davis says authorities believe robbery was likely the motive in a shooting that killed 21-year-old Keenen Morris on Tuesday night.

Davis says charges are pending against the suspect and the person’s identity has not been released. Davis says the shooting remains under investigation and additional suspects have been identified.

Police have said Morris was shot inside his apartment and Morris likely knew the gunman.

Miles College is in Fairfield, just west of Birmingham.
