COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A cattle egret that escaped its exhibit at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs is back home with the rest of the flock.

The Gazette reports (https://goo.gl/IEMQNC ) the bird, which resembles a small heron, was spotted in a tree at the golf course at Cheyenne Mountain Resort on Thursday morning. Zoo officials lured it with crickets and some of its egret friends, which were kept in a nearby crate.

The bird, which flew the coop Tuesday night during high winds, was given a clean bill of health and spent the rest of Thursday with friends in the flock’s indoor enclosure.
