PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - FBI agents and federal health officials have searched a Providence ambulance company as part of an investigation.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1MlpNas ) that Jim Martin, spokesman for U.S. Attorney Peter F. Neronha, said FBI agents and Department of Health and Human Services officials executed federal search warrants Thursday at Professional Ambulance LLC.

The business’s founders, Joe and Brenda Baginski, said through an attorney that the company is cooperating. They said criminal or civil charges have not been filed and the company continues to conduct business.

The agencies did not disclose details of the investigation, what they took from the ambulance company’s offices or other information about the search.
